The Tall Pines Snowmobile Club (TPSC) is located in Dorset, Ontario, in the heart of Southern Ontario's snowbelt region. We're about two and a half(2 ½) hours north of Toronto, or about forty(40) minutes east of Bracebridge.

As a member of the Muskoka Snowmobile Region(MSR) and the Ontario Federation of Snowmobile Clubs(OFSC), our trail system extends from Muskoka in the West to the borders of Algonquin Park in the East.

We have some of the nicest +200km of groomed trails covering the Muskoka and Haliburton Highland regions!

If you'd like more information about riding the TPSC trail system, and/or would like to become a TPSC member, you can reach us at: mailto:info@tallpines.org

Thanks for dropping by!

Update Jan 18th 2012

We have been able to open several trails over the past week on a limted basis and with more snow arriving we expect to continue towards opening the whole Tall Pines system .Please refer to the MSR link below for trail conditions.

Please note that lake ice is thin in most areas !

Update Dec 29th 2011

We finally recieved about 4 inches of snow on the 27th ...still not enough to pack trails so it will be a while yet.

The poker rally poster is now up on the site ...hope to see you all there on Feb 11th 2012

The trail 68 re route has been completed just before Christmas and looks great .It basically links the original trail on the south and north sides of county road 8 at a safer crossing.

As stated below the trail # 62 upgrades will have to wait until next season pending approvals.

Update Dec 12,2011

The annual poker rally will be held on Sat Feb 11th 2012 at the Dorset Lions Camp ....the poster will be posted here on the site when finalized.

We continue to await final approval from the MNR for the trail 68 and 62 projects mentioned below.

It looks like any work on 62 wll have to wait until next year, however if the approval arrives and weather cooperates, the 68 re rout to Kawagama Lake may get done before the trails open this season.

Update October 19th 2011

The 2012 OFSC Trail Pass application is available on this site....see the link. Please remember to mark off the box to direct your permit dollars to Tall Pines!

We hope to have trail 68 were it crosses county road 8 re routed before the season starts. The township has installed culverts on both sides of the road near Blue Jay Way . Once complete this short trail change will take riders down to Kawagama Lake close to the original trail outlet onto the lake. This re route will eliminate the crossing of county road 8 at a corner deemed dangerous by the county due to poor sight lines .

Other projects include some upgrading of trail 62 to Kennissis Lake.

Both these projects are subject to MNR approval , weather and volunteers

Stay tuned for updates.

UPDATE Jan 21st 2011

We received a complaint from a property owner on the south shore of Kawagama next to the tennis court . As many of you are aware , for several years we groomed to the tennis court and ran our lake stakes to that shore as well. Apparently sledders came up off the lake and headed up the hill on to private property last weekend, In the process they scared some you kids tobogganing on the hill near the tennis court.

Please do not use this route and follow the staked trail east or west to the appropriate crossing.

Note ,....the MSR map still shows the land entrance near the tennis court and they have been advised to change it at next year printing.

I will be signing the tennis court area this weekend "Trail Closed" and No Trespassing
